줄거리

소매치기, 구걸, 펨프, 넝마주이 등의 생활을 해온 동철은 어둠과 범죄생활이 몸에 익었다. 어느 날 가짜 여대생 혜영을 납치하려다 육덕을 만난다. 동철과 육덕은 혜영이 창녀임을 알게 된다. 배고픔에 그녀의 심부름을 하며 배를 채워 연명하던 두 사람은 손님과 싸우다 쫓겨난다. 혜영도 그들을 따른다. 바닷가 휴양지에서 세 사람은 즐겁게 지내고, 동철은 혜영을 사랑하게 된다.

Dong-chul had been a pickpocket, beggar, pimp, etc. He is accustomed to the dark life of crime. One day, Dong-chul meets Yuk-deok while trying to kidnap the fake college student, Hye-young. Dong-chul and Yuk-deok find out that Hye-young is a prostitute. They do her errands and get fed, barely making it. Dong-chul and Yuk-deok get thrown out after fighting with a customer. Hye-young goes with Dong-chul and Yuk-deok and enjoy themselves at a beach resort. Dong-chul falls in love with Hye-young. Afterwards, Hye-young gets work at a high-class restaurant in Seoul. A customer forces her to drink too much liquor and Hye-young ends up dead. They dress her up real nice and bury her with the notes of a sad song ringing throughout the air.
